No More Mr Nice… Guy?

This card is one that I have yet to really see used to its fullest, and I find this to be an absolute shame. It’s a constant +2/+2 modifier that isn’t unique! Get two of them out and you can pump any character’s stats to the point where they are OVER the curve. With that sort of power, how is it that it seems like no one has so much as touched NMMNG?

No More Mr. Nice Guy

Fortunately, I’m not the type to just let things sit about with things that I feel are wrong and let them stay that way. Instead I decided to build my own way to abuse No More Mr. Nice Guy. A couple of characters immediately came to mind as to how to do this. Cable is one character who you can shift out that has drops at several places and even has that ability to cheat uniqueness on his own. I thought he’d be too easy but I’ll likely revisit him. Similarly to Cable, Spider-Man has his new 1-drop with Shift, but most of his best characters are now Silver Age at best and such a build would be best in Golden Age. This left me with one character that really stood out as having enough characters to design a deck around while still being unique. That character is everyone’s favorite blue lady… or is that Victorian gentleman?

The Rules of Multiplication

One thing I always wish I could do is meet myself. There are really only two ways to do this – time/reality travel or cloning. This article is not about the Exiles, a good link to the former. Instead, it is about Multiple Man and his ability to make as many of himself as possible.

Multiple Man is the first army legend that immediately comes to mind. When building a deck around Jamie Madrox, you can almost always be sure to hit him because, well, he’s a one man army. Theoretically, he could be the only character in your deck! Now that’s power.

Got a call from an old friend…

November 30, 2008

stiltav804Looks like I spoke not a moment too soon – already, Lost Hemisphere’s newest resident has an article for your perusal! Please join me in welcoming KaleeshWarrior to Lost Hemisphere.
With our family expanding, it’s my intention to post an icon in each post to let you know just who’s responsible for the dribble you’re wading through. For myself, I’m returning to my roots and adopting Stilt-Man’s majestic mug. Kaleesh, naturally, bears the proud and noble visage of a Kaleesh… well, warrior.
Happy reading!

We used to be real close. Said he couldn’t go on the American way. Closed the shop, sold the house, bought a ticket to the West Coast. Now he gives them a stand-up routine in L.A.

When one thinks of classic pairings, quite a few come to mind: Laurel and Hardy, Sonny and Cher, Donnie and Marie, R2-D2 and C-3P0. If you go into comics, you of course have the Dynamic Duo of Batman and Robin or the World War II heroes in Captain America and Bucky amongst many other similar pairs.

Before MEV, only one duo had a set of legend cards showing their strength as a pair and that is the World’s Finest: Batman and Superman. Now that Marvel Evolution has been released, another two characters share a delightfully powerful plot twist. Sure, these two aren’t on quite the same amiable terms as Bats and Supes (although those two have had their fair share of spats), they are still quite the formidable foe. You probably know who I’m talking about by now…

Deadpool is Tom Hanks ;)
