And when I say ’ferret style, I mean a painting project that should take a few days but gets drawn out over several months. This is a bad thing, considering the backlog of commissions I have.
But since I told Chris I’d get this done many moons ago, here it is — a mini-tutorial on how I painted my Repenter.
For starters, 90% of what I paint gets black primer. It’s more forgiving, and it’s how I’ve been painting my minis from the start. The biggest change to the way I do things is drybrushing the metals first. Not only is this faster than layering them, but I actually get them done and enjoy it. Who knew?
