Well, how about that for twelve shades of awesome? Other than mirroring the art as we’d seen it, Privateer managed to spit out a model that’s pretty darn close to the raw awesomeness of the art we’re seeing on the cover of NQ25!
This is the kind of niftiness I’ve come to expect from Privateer’s scultping crew – somehow they manage to sculpt up the amazing art so darn well. I confess I get kinda disappointed sometimes when the sculpts aren’t direct reflections of the art, but then they come back around again and bring us something as awesome as this.
Brava, Privateer, Brava.
I spun the 360 out of interest to get a look at the back of the model, and was interested to see this picture.
What immediately struck me was the two glowy bally knobby things near his right shoulder.
While Iosan warcasters clearly don’t rely on the same armour conventions as those of the Iron Kingdoms, I have to wonder of these two spheres perform a similar function to the warcaster furnaces… or maybe they’re just aesthetic.
Still no explanation as to what happened to his other shoulderpad though
