So I walked into the cafeteria downstairs at my office yesterday morning to get some toast; next thing I know, I’m handed a plate with some roast beef and new potatoes that were being prepared for a catered luncheon later in the day.
An hour or so later, I wander through the Accounting department and lo and behold, there’s a nice slice, some cake, some cheetos, a whopping great bag of trail mix and two small cheesecakes. Huh. Half an hour later I actually received a direct email from one of the managers letting me know they were there… personally, I think she just didn’t want to be the one to take the first slice of cheesecake.
If a free lunch had materialised, I think I would have been very, very suspicious about just what the world was up to…
