Am I the only one watching this series? I make no bones about the fact that the evaluations are patently screwy and the presentation’s over the top, but as a student of Ancient History, it’s been neat seeing the various weapons and fighting styles in action in the demonstrations…
… but seriously, they’re really stretching for their pairings.
No disrespect intended to any warrior tradition, but somehow “gang vs gang”, “guy with guns vs guy with guns” and “legendary figure vs legendary figure” is kinda straying away from the original selling points of the series for me.
The Shaolin Monk vs Maori episode made me wonder about Iron Kingdoms counterparts, and how they would compare, stripped of the support of their factions, and ignoring their actual point values.
Allegiant vs White Mane!
Idrian vs Doom Reaver!
Warmonger vs Cetrati!
… but lets’ face it, the highest-rated episode would be Satyxis Raider vs Daughter of the Flame.
