Hexeris stood among the corpses declaring his victory over these primitive forest dwellers. The woman seemed to ahve some magical power, but it did not match his mastery over life and death. The Wolf was interesting, he would have to mention this creature to the paingivers, perhaps they may capture some to use in this forested region.

Well, my 350 list worked out much better then I expected it to. It’s time to up the ante with 500 points. I played around with a lot of things I could go with for the 500 pts list. Ultimately though, time has forced my hand once again.

I decided I was going to try and keep my list intact and only add to it. So I kept my warlock, Orin, Praetorians, cyclopes and basilisk. They formed a fairly good core of my army giving me lots of options for engagement. I did however up my number of praetorins to eight, maybe next time I’ll bring a full unit!

Looking it over I found the one thing my list was lacking was hitting power. I could do a good number of small hits, but nothing for taking down big stuff. So that means I need a heavy beast. The one I picked is the mighty Rhinodon.

I can see someone at Privateer knew what my favourite dinosaur was (anklyosaurus); he’s got a nice hard shell, a horn and tail that can crush armour and a couple claws just for the heck of it. He packs a couple special attack as well which makes him a great all comers beast. I must mention his lovely animus too, this allows me to make an extra special attack, at any time, which means I can trip a guy and then pound him! On the Charge! Fun times.

The next and final addition to my list is a small unit of pain givers. These handy little guys help me keep my beasts under control, heal them and make them stronger. Practically an auto-include for a skorne army, especially one like mine running lots of beasts. In a pinch Paingivers can put the hurt on infantry too with their Anatomical Precision they will always damage a living model.

Hexeris’s thoughts were interrupted by a loud crashing noise, through the bushes came a rampaging Rhinodon followed closely by it paingiver keepers. Survivors from a battle nearby. Assisting the paingivers in subduing the giant beast Hexeris prepared for battle once again.
