DoV wrapup

February 7, 2009

As referenced here, I spent the day knee-deep in stuntie goodness playing Warmachine at the Hobby Kingdom for the Day of Valor.

Tis Saturday, and time for the DoV

February 7, 2009

Hobby Kingdom periodically has store-run day-long tourneys for all of its major game lines. These are referred to as Days of Valor, and today I attend my first.

For today’s Day of Valor, the format is casualties of war. The first round is 750pts. The second, 500pts, the components of which must have been in the 750 list. The third and final round is 350pts, and again, all models must have been used in the previous list.

I had initially wanted to play Protectorate of Menoth again, but there was significant peer pressure to play Searforge. With 22 participants signed up, we had every single faction in the game represented except mercs, so by playing Searforge I complete the set.

Besides, playing Searforge means I get to break out the Ogrun again, and that’s never a bad thing :)
