Battle of the Border: Day One

I need to preface this with the simple fact that I’ve never actually gone on a geek road trip before. I’ve been on innumerable lengthy drives, since I lived about 6 hours drive away from either of my parents, but this was the very first time I’ve *ever* undertaken a journey strictly for the purposes of geeky enjoyment. As such, I’m sure there’s any other things that are par for the course for all of you geek trip veterans, but they were special to me, so nyah.

Friday morning started normally – breakfast, cuddles with the kids, showered and deodoranted, and then… (*dramatic music cue*) Spud turned up at the door at 8AM. Everything got tossed in the car, and we hit the road to show Spud the joys of crossing the border when you’re not travelling on a Canadian passport.

Gauntlet X: Dripping in Awesomesauce

Part of the challenge of these gauntlets is in actually figuring out what to demand from our shiny-pated jankmaster. This week, it’s not hard to figure out thanks to the raw awesomeness that was Battle Of The Border.

See, BOTB was awesome. It was full of awesome people. It was full of awesome games. It was, in a word, Awesomesauce.

Now, if I had to take that word and use it to describe a comic, there’s only one possible answer, and that answer is Nextwave.
