Hobby League tonight, and we’re running the BYOT event with the Geektastic Fin Fang Foom mat on the line.
Spud has been whining since the event was announced in an effort to dissuade me from playing Darkseid, because resource control makes him cry; I’m a fair man, and there’s only so much blubbering I can take, so I looked at my options.
I do so enjoy Kree Resource Control; Carrbear needed some of my Spider-Friends stuff for her deck, so I eschewed them. Inhumans? Defenders? Morlocks?
In the end it came down to either Fantastic Four, who I tend to play whenever i get the chance, Crime Lords, for whom I have two builds I just can’t decide between, and Marvel Knights, who are just generally solid.
In the end MKKO won out, loaded with pumps (Savage Beatdown, Big Leagues, Blinding Rage, Crime and Punishment – playsets of each), tutors (Wild Ride, Mobilize), and KO effects (Quick Kill and Judge, Jury and Executioner).
